I thought he did too. The way he was pulling away in the first stint was amazing. The pass on Bottas was great, too.

I think the bigger takeaway (for me) from the race is how fucking winded Hamilton was on that radio. Maybe it’s the first time a driver left his mic open longer than normal and this is our first time hearing it, but damn.

That was interesting and reassuring to me. I never understood how they seemed to not sound fatigued during the race on the radio. I would sound like that ALL THE TIME.

Easily the best one of the season. The rest have been all about starting grid location and pit strategy. Nice to see some actual dicing at the head of the race for a change.

Vettel’s pass on Bottas was fantastic. Wish Hamilton would’ve had to work a little harder to get by Vettel at the end, and that Vettel would have gained on him at the end to make it more interesting, but maybe I’m getting greedy. Hamilton’s remarks on the podium really show the mutual respect these two clearly have for each other. The best in the world would rather have a good fight and come out on top, rather than just walk away with win after win.

Haha - not sure if it was Nico’s fault (plenty of blame to go around), but he and Lewis clearly had built up some bad blood on and off the track that was impossible to hide. Bottas has definitely played the part of subservient #2 up to this point.
